WARRANTY
Any component that fails due to manufacturer's defect
is guaranteed for 1 year from time of shipment.
Battery is prorated for 5 years. Warranty does not apply to
damages caused by improper installation, abuse, fire or acts
of God.
CONFORMANCE TO CODES & STANDARDS
ESW products are electrically safe and meet or exceed
the following: UL 924, N.E.C., OSHA, and N.F.P.A. Life
Safety Code 101.
CONSTRUCTION
Plastic: Precision molded housings constructed of UV stable
UL 924 V-0 flame retardant thermoplastic. Units resist denting,
peeling, scratching, and corrosion. Tool-less access provided for
easy maintenance, universal J-box mounting pattern and key hole
slots provided for simple installation. Knockouts are provided
on the top, back, and sides for easy wire entry. Standard finish
is textured white, also available in black.
Steel: Die formed 20 gauge steel housing with epoxy powder
coat finish. White finish is standard. Universal J-box mounting
patter and key hole slots provided for simple installation.
Knockouts are provided on top, back, and sides for easy wire
entry.
ILLUMINATION
Two fully adjustable, attractive, square shaped lamp heads
with rounded corners and vacuum metallized reflectors allow
for maximum light to be delivered to the path of egress. Units
supplied with (2) 9 watt wedge based tungsten lamps as
standard.
ELECTRONICS
120/277 VAC dual voltage input with surge protected, solidstate
regulated charging circuitry. The system is provided with
low voltage disconnect, line-latch, brownout protection, AC
indictator LED lamp and test switch. Steel units also feature a
high-charge indicator LED. Regulated charge voltage prevents
over/under charging that shortens battery life and reduces
capacity. The brownout protection circuitry will automatically
switch the unit into emergency mode if the utility voltage sags
below 20% of nominal. Line-latch circuitry prevents the unit
from turning on during installation to a non-energized AC
circuit, saving time in reconnection of battery terminals.
BATTERY
Maintenance-free, sealed lead acid battery provides 90 minutes
of illumination at full light output. Low-voltage disconnect
prevents deep discharge and maintains battery life. The
suggested operating temperature range is 65F (19C) to 85F
(30C).
SELF-DIAGNOSTIC OPERATION
(Option: G2)
Circuitry continuously monitors the operating condition of the
AC power, battery supply voltage, emergency lamp continuity,
transfer circuit, and charging circuit. Circuit also provides a selftesting
automatic code compliant feature. The self-test feature
will perform a full function test of the equipment in emergency
mode for five minutes every month, and a 90 minute test twice
a year. If a failure is detected, visual status will occure through
a series of blinks on the LED indicator. LED will blink until
fault has been corrected.
