What Are Wet Location Exit Signs?

Wet location exit signs are necessary in wet or hose down areas, including unpredictable weather locations. NEMA is the National Electrical Manufacturers Association. Nema 4X exit signs installed outdoor or hose down areas give a degree of protection with respect to harmful effects on the equipment due to the ingress of water whether it be rain, snow or over spray of water. These wet location exit signs provides an additional level of protection against corrosion in that it will be undamaged by the external formation of ice on the enclosure.

Our UL 924 Listed and NEMA Rated Exit Signs have options. View our combination exit sign and emergency lights which feature PAR or Halogen lamps mounted on top, side or bottom of the exit sign. If the ambient temperature drops below 32 degrees the batteries will freeze. To prevent this we can install the units with internal battery heaters which will provide illumination in the harshest environments
