Uniformity, Visibility and Safety
Independent tests show that LEC exit signs consitently out perform other exit signs with higher luminance reading in both 50 ft and 100ft tests particular to the baseline conditions of no smoke and when the simulated smoke first obstructs the sign. The LEC Edge-Lit Exit Sign readability is due to the direct viewing of tiny solid state light sources which maintain their collective uniformity throughout their life. Other lighting technologies, such as LED, rely on redirected light to provide illumination which diminishes over time causing unbalanced light output which results in unreadable and diminished useful life of exit signs.

Emergency Opererations
Solid state smart-charge circuit provides increased battery life. The LEC lamp brightness is increased by an estimated 25% and will operate for up to 2 hours on the battery systems.
